Coach Rob Pelfrey, President, PKS, Inc.

After several years of working with his father (Ray Pelfrey, PKS founder and owner), Coach Rob Pelfrey is an expert in all aspects of Pelfrey's All-Pro Punting techniques, and the new American Wedge™ technique for soccer-style Kickers. In January 1993, Rob was named President of Professional Kicking Services, Inc.

Rob manages all camp operations and is director of the PKS Pro/Free Agent Development Program held each spring for NFL teams. He is the coordinator of the extensive and highly effective PKS Private Lesson Program held in Nevada and at selected camp sites and major population centers around the country.

Starting from the ground up, Rob has more than mastered the new techniques pioneered by his father in the punting and kicking game. These techniques proved so successful that PKS grew into the largest and only full-time kicking educational program in the nation. Rob and his support staff, all either PKS-trained college stars or NFL players in PKS programs, produce outstanding results year after year.

Rob's outstanding coaching efforts in 1993 produced both a USA TODAY - All-American Punter and a USA TODAY All-American Placekicker. His programs and coaching abilities were featured in Sports Illustrated™ which named PKS services "the best program of its kind in the country." In 1994 and 1995, two NFL Punters Rob worked closely with had outstanding seasons. Rick Tuten of the Seahawks went to the Pro Bowl, and in 1995, Louie Aguiar of the Chiefs lead the league for 8 weeks, and was a strong contender for Pro Bowl Honors.

Rob and his wife Julie reside in Reno with son Brandon and daughter Cassi.

Coach Ray Pelfrey, owner and founder of PKS, Inc.

Coach Ray Pelfrey has a background in football that spans over 55 years. This includes playing football in high school, college, the NFL, and coaching experience at all levels including professional consulting in the field of Punting and Placekicking.

At Auburn, Ray started as a freshman at left-halfback and lettered as a freshman and sophomore. He transferred to Eastern Kentucky University under Head Coach Glenn Presnell. At Eastern, he started both years at left-halfback and handled the punting duties. As a senior, he earned All-Ohio Conference 1st team Running Back honors. In total, at Auburn and Eastern, he earned 10 varsity letters: four in football, four in track, and two in basketball. Ray holds a Master's degree from Eastern Kentucky University.

In 1951, Ray was drafted by the Green Bay Packers. As a rookie, he ranked 8th in the NFL with 38 receptions and five touchdowns. In addition, he shared punting duties with a gross average of 44.5 yards.

PKS has been featured in Scholastic Coach Magazine, Inside Sports, and was featured by Sports Illustrated in 1993. The magazine audited and attended an entire camp at Arizona State University.

Dusty Apocotos, PKS Senior Staff Instructor

Instructor Dusty Apocotos, a recent Civil Engineering graduate from UC Davis, was ranked by his former head football coach Bob Biggs as UC Davis' Leading All Time Kicker. Dusty kicked in the All Star Cactus Bowl as a senior, and has personal tryouts in the NFL Tampa Bay Bucs and SF 49'ers as a Rookie. Dusty has never missed a field goal from 40 yards and in.

Bryan Barker. 17 year PKS Veteran. 14 year NFL veteran Punter. As the best directional Punter in the League, Bryan continues to perform as one of the best Punters/Holders in the NFL. Pro career highights: 211 games, 1016 punts, 42.2 gross, 35.7 net, 297 in 20s, 83 long. Bryan finished the 2003 season with 297 career inside the 20 punts (4th all-time NFL). Brad Shushman. Eight years of PKS experience. Scholarshiped out of PKS to University of Louisville, then transferred to the University of Delaware, where he helped lead the team to the National Championship.
