Brett Upson, Vanderbilt, Makes News Again - And Again

PKS Scholarship Referral Punter Garners SEC Special Teams "Player of the Week"

Griffin, Georgia hometown hero, Brett Upson, has been named SEC Special Teams Player of the Week - again.

Just check out these highlights for the 5'11" Junior:

• Upson averaged 38.1 yards on eight punts, with four of hits punts downed inside the Auburn 20-yard line, as the Commodores defeated Auburn, 14-13.
• His 55-yard punt with two minutes left in the game pinned Auburn inside its own 5-yard line.
• The Tigers had just two returns for eight yards on Vanderbilt punts.
• Vanderbilt opponents are averaging just 3.0 yards on nine total returns this season.
• For the season, Upson is averaging 39.4 yards per punt and leads the SEC with 12 punts inside the 20.

2006 Coach of the Year

Dave Toub, of the Chicago Bears, was named the 2006 Special Teams Coach of the Year in Reno, Nevada. The award is presented annually by Professional Kicking Services, Inc. in conjunction with their Free Agent punters and kickers field try out session attended by NFL Special teams coaches and NFL scouts.

PKS's Danny Baugher Named NFL-Europa Special Teams Player of the Week

May 15, 2007: New England Patriots-allocated punter Danny Baugher is Special Teams Player of Week 5 after his outstanding display during the Rhein Fire's defeat of the Frankfurt Galaxy.

Baugher averaged 45.2 yards on five punts with a long of 51 yards. He also dropped two kicks inside Frankfurt's 20-yard line. He currently ranks second among NFLE punters this season with an average of 42.5 yards on 23 kicks with a long of 59 yards and nine kicks inside the opponent's 20-yard line. Additionally, Danny is the only punter with zero touchbacks and leads the league in net yardage!
